Hipster Ornaments šŸ¦Œ⛄️šŸŽ…šŸ»

Hi again! Hope you are feeling the holiday cheer in the air šŸ˜šŸŽ Thought I’d share some cute playing-card size paper ornaments I made for my work-in-progress Tim Holtz tree šŸŽ„

I was messing around painting and embossing some mixed media heavystock pieces and this cool set came together (I actually didn’t mean for them to coordinate but I’m in love with how they all compliment each other! šŸ˜)

I cut my guys from the Cool Yule die set…
I was debating what shapes to use for the bases, but landed on medium Stitched Rectangles (could easily have substituted playing cards ♦️)

Once I had my papers glued on my rectangle bases (and a circle for my snowman), I added Walnut Stain crayon to the seams for extra definition and glooped on some collage medium around the edges to hide the layers…

Next I shaped, inked the edges, and assembled my characters, then glued them on their backgrounds

Also used my Crop-o-dile tool to add eyelets to the top corners

(I thought the insides of the deer’s glasses would make cute coal for the snowman ✨)

Finishing Touches…

Cut my greenery from the Holiday Greens set (wish I made some red holly berries to go with, but still cute!)

Lastly, added a few remnant rubs for sentiments and ephemera pieces to give a bit more detail to each before staining twine and tying on my hangers

Hope you like them, I sure do! Thanks so much for visiting! Get some holiday crafting in too, won’t you?
